I received my MFA in Photography from Yale University School of Art in 1987. I was principal university photographer at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1987-2002 where I made commercial photographs for University publications and national media, including National Geographic, The New York Times, Time magazine, and other publications around the world. I live in Asheville,NC now with my wife Jennifer, a family physician, and daughter Helen who is in second grade. I am pursuing fine art work and documentary projects in film and photography. Specifically I am part of a team working on the multimedia documentary effort calledRank Strangers, The story of Mrs. Hyatt's OpraHouse. Another project I am pursuing independently is a photo documentary of Hickory Nut Gap, a beautiful farm owned by an inspiring family in Fairview, NC.
