Useful Work will be exhibited at Center for Documentary Studies

The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, in Durham, NC, will be hosting the exhibition Useful Work: Photographs of Hickory Nut Gap Farm beginning June 2. The opening for the exhibition will be sometime in August, but the photographs will be up for the duration of the summer. This is terrific news for me - I am a big admirer of CDS and have been since discovering the work of Alex Harris, who founded DoubleTake magazine for the Center, with Robert Coles. CDS is known for its programs in film, photography, and scholarly research.
